Our Employee Rewards and Recognition Program recognises and acknowledges the hard work, dedication and contributions that our employees make to the overall success of our organisation. We are very proud of all our team members and their contributions. Our most deserving contributors to service excellence and commitment to our workplace are recognised at the end of the year for the service they provide. This year we came together to celebrate with a themed event at Weston Creek Labor Club which was a fabulous event, where everyone embraced dressing-up, and having a great time.

PEOPLE AND CULTURE
The Canberra Labor Club continues to promote a workplace that is fair, equitable and family friendly. We strive to be an employer of choice and support our people and celebrate our diversity. As we evolve in a post-covid world, we have seen a change in the way people want to work as people focus on healthy work-life balances in their personal and professional lives. We are proud to be able to offer flexibility in our employment to support that integrated approach. The Canberra Labor Club continues to support full time career pathways in our industry and will pursue a focus on creating permanent employment opportunities.
Nadine Micallef was our first team member to complete the Certificate IV in Business with the Barringtons Women in Club Operations Program. Every unit Nadine completed was of the highest quality. Nadine said that this program not only provided her with confidence in her existing skills, but also an in-depth knowledge of all elements of management and connection to a fantastic network of female leaders in our industry.
The Canberra Labor Club has provided an opportunity for another two deserving women in our team to participate in the program. Sonu Basnet and Sarah Martin are in the early stages of the program, and we look forward to them completing this over the next 12 months.
The Canberra Labor Club has been involved with ACT Healthier Work, an ACT Government initiative, since 2015, which has supported promoting and maintaining health and wellbeing in our workplace. Every year we develop a program that offers a focus on healthy minds, bodies and relationships for our employees. We are committed to providing access to resources, and assistance aimed to develop and implement lifestyle programs and policies that support both the physical and mental health of our employees. One of the activities we coordinated for our team members this year was Employee Wellness Day.
In line with Global Wellness Day, we distributed hampers to our staff that we packed full of healthy treats, useful resources, gym membership deals and superannuation health checks.
